The newly developed KNG 5P expert is designed for the precise machining of external and internal gears. The machine concept combines a compact design with outstanding set-up efficiency – ideal for flexible production requirements. With minimal setup effort, grinding wheels with diameters ranging from 60 to 350 mm can be used on the powerful, direct-driven grinding spindle with speeds of up to 9,500 rpm.
To change the diamond dressing tool, the directly driven dressing spindle swivels into an ergonomic accessible position. Thanks to 5-axis interpolation via an open swivelling axis, complex modifications can be produced efficiently and almost twist-free by means of double‑flank grinding. The machine has a generously dimensioned rotary table with electric direct drive and deep rotary table bore for long shafts. With its wide range of options, the KNG 5P expert offers customised configurability for a wide range of applications.
High flexibility in a compact design
With the KNG 5P expert, we are consistently continuing our long-standing successful ZE series. In addition to all the advantages of this proven series, the profile grinding machine impresses with additional and new features that offer the user maximum flexibility.
The KNG 5P expert can be used to grind workpieces with a gear width of up to 675 mm.
The directly driven dressing spindle swivels between a working position and a parking position.
The tailstock can be swiveled away and is infinitely adjustable to a tip pressure of up to 2,000 N.
The KNG 5P expert can be used to grind worms with pitch angles of up to 45 degrees.
