Boulder, CO – July 2025 – KAPP TECHNOLOGIES L.P., the North American subsidiary of the KAPP NILES Group, has taken a significant step toward strengthening its domestic manufacturing capabilities. The company has successfully launched in-house production of diamond dressing tools at its Boulder, Colorado facility — marking a major milestone in its U.S.-based operations.
“What looks like a standard dressing tool actually represents a major achievement for our team,” said Shane Hollingsworth, Vice President of Sales at KAPP TECHNOLOGIES. “This is the first diamond dresser completed entirely in Boulder. It’s a proud moment for our organization.”
The new capability complements KAPP TECHNOLOGIES’ existing U.S. production of CBN grinding wheels. Offering diamond dressers now manufactured stateside, customers benefit from shorter lead times and greater flexibility.
KAPP NILES will showcase its latest solutions — including the new U.S.-made diamond dressers — at the MPT Expo 2025 in Detroit.
In addition, visitors to the KAPP NILES booth will have the opportunity to experience the KNM 2X, a compact analytical measuring machine designed for high-precision inspection of small gears, gear tools, and rotationally symmetric workpieces up to 300 mm in diameter. Key highlights include:
