KAPP NILES presents the KNG 5P expert gear profile grinding machine
The new KNG 5P expert profile grinding machine from KAPP NILES combines high flexibility and outstanding set-up efficiency with an exceptionally compact design. It is designed for the precise machining of external and internal gears. As a next level development of the successful ZE series, it combines the established advantages with numerous additional features. This enables efficient production processes while ensuring excellent gear quality and a wide variety of applications.
The machine’s versatile application range includes drive wheels for rail vehicles, components for wind power and automotive transmissions, as well as gear worms for industrial gearboxes.

Gear centre KNG 350 flex
KAPP NILES presents gear centre KNG 350 flex
The KNG 350 flex is based on a compact, stand-optimised machine concept for use in the prototype area to large-scale production of gears up to 350 mm in diameter. An optional diameter extension is available. Available machining processes are generating and profile grinding, depending on the application with dressable corundum or non-dressable CBN tools. A unique selling point is polishing as a single technology, for example to finish gears after shot peening.
A reduction in set-up times is also achieved through the use of intelligent components (smart tooling).
From manual loading via a simple pallet conveyor to a comprehensive automation solution, the concept offers complete flexibility when loading components. The functional and ergonomic machine design, combined with the user-friendly KN grind interface, assists with the set-up and optimisation of grinding projects.

Analytical measuring machine for small and medium-sized workpieces KNM 4X
The KNM 4X analytical measuring machine is designed for high-precision measurements of gears, gear tools and rotationally symmetric workpieces up to a diameter of 450 mm.
All guides and base plates made of granite are extremely stable in the long-term and have identically low expansion coefficients. Air bearings with emergency operation properties ensure perfect and wear-free guides without short-term errors. Air spring elements underneath the base plates safely shield from jolts and vibrations. Separate bases are not required. Non-ferrous linear and torque motors of the rotary tables ensure ultimate position precisions and path accuracy.
Despite the compact design, spacious travel ranges ensure a tangential generating motion towards the base circle for any profile. The control cabinet can be arranged freely.
