Internal Thread Grinding Machine GIS TWIN
The internal thread grinding machine GIS TWIN is configured to process internal threads in ball screws for vehicle steering in series achieving high productivity. Thereby dressable or non-dressable KAPP CBN profile grinding wheels can be used.
The GIS TWIN machine concept focuses on eliminating unproductive auxiliary times as far as possible. For this purpose, the machine includes two workpiece spindles arranged at opposing sides of the index table. While machining one part, the second workpiece spindle simultaneously unloads / loads and aligns another part. The GIS TWIN is also equipped with two grinding spindles to utilize rough and finish grinding wheels for optimum 2-step finishing in one clamping.
The machine concept is optimized for automatic loading via either a robot or gantry loader.
